Workshop Title: Beginner Weaving Class
Cost: $220. (Unless the hall charges for the room. Then there will be an additional cost.)
Format: In person
Workshop Description: Weave a lovely “Color and Weave” wool scarf while learning basic weaving skills. During the six-week course you will plan and weave a scarf, learn to read weaving drafts and plan future projects plus gain an understanding of how the different looms work.
Materials and / or Equipment: Students will require a few basic sewing items and their own wool yarn. A supply list will be sent out to registered students.
Table looms and other weaving equipment will be provided.
About the Instructor: Cheryl learned to weave in the early 1980ies at the Leighton Center and became a member of the Sheep Creek Weavers in 1986. She is inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds her in the foothills of Alberta and enjoys sharing her weaving experience and knowledge with others.
