Workshop Title: Edge Finishes for Handwoven Fabrics
Workshop Description: In this one-day weaving workshop, you will have an opportunity to explore edge finishes for handwoven fabrics. You will learn how to create a number of hems, fringes and other decorative finishes. Participants should come prepared with a loom warped with a narrow cotton warp, tied up to weave plain weave and ready to weave on workshop day. Warping instructions, a list of supplies and other information will be sent to registered participants.

Maximum Capacity: 10
Materials: Participants will provide 8/2 cotton for the warp and weft, a bobbin of 16/2 cotton and a few yards of 8/4 cotton. The Instructor will provide a complete set of notes for everything covered in the workshop.
Please bring lunch and a drink
Equipment: participants will provide the loom tied up to weave plain weave.
Instructor Information: Judy Klassen is a self-taught weaver who has been weaving for several years and was heavily involved in the process of setting up and teaching in the Master Weaver Program at Olds College.
